Garment machinist wanted in Kalkaska County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment machinist in Kalkaska County, Michigan. Requirements: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines You will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. We offer $20 per hour plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends.
