Great opportunity: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska. What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) On a typical shift you will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift.
