Aluminium tig welder — East Feliciana Parish

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. You should have: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight On the job you will handle: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
