Urgent requirement: we are hiring a dogger in King William County, Virginia. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
