Gantry crane operator — Polk County

Join our team: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Polk County, Minnesota. The job is on a busy construction site. Requirements: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Able to read load charts and lifting plans On the job you will handle: • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. $27 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
