Safety officer — Aiken County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a safety officer in Aiken County, South Carolina. You will work at a busy construction site. Ideal candidate: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Day to day you will ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
