Glass and glazing technician • City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a glass and glazing technician in City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska. Day-to-day duties: • Replace cracked or broken window panes • Glaze shopfronts, curtain walls and glass partitions • Read drawings and setting-out details for glazing layouts • Cut glass to size using a glass cutter and running pliers • Apply putty, silicone and glazing tape to bed the glass Ideal candidate: • Skilled with silicone guns, putty and glazing tools • Physically fit, able to stand and lift throughout the shift • Aware of safe glass handling and PPE such as cut-resistant gloves Six days a week, one day off.
