Fabrication workshop technician wanted in Bronx County

Join our team: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Bronx County, New York. You will work in the profile cutting and welding bay. You should have: • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres You will crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame; read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile; fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents; fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $2,700 per month, based on your experience.
