Finishing presser wanted in Polk County

Now hiring: we are hiring a finishing presser in Polk County, Iowa. You will work at a dry cleaner's. On a typical shift you will keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
