Vacancy available: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Pickens County, South Carolina. The job is in a heavy machinery workshop. The role involves calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
