Garment machinist • Cerro Gordo County, Iowa

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa. Your main tasks: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Requirements: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line 4+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
