Great opportunity: we are hiring a sample machinist in Passaic County, New Jersey. You will work on a ready-made garment production line. The role involves operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. Requirements: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
