Now hiring: we are hiring a dogger in Butler County, Alabama. The job is in a heavy machinery workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Your main tasks: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $2,900 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
