Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pressman in Sitka City and Borough, Alaska. The job is in a tailoring workshop. You will check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure. You should have: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Full-time with occasional weekends.
