Join our team: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in Newton County, Mississippi. The job is on a high-rise slab pour. Day to day you will strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
