Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Chambers County, Alabama. You will work at a residential building site. You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets The role involves laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
