Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in Hartley County, Texas. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. You should have: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding The role involves brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $5,100 per month plus benefits. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
