Aluminium tig welder • West Sussex, England

We are recruiting: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in West Sussex, England. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. On a typical shift you will run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Pay around £3,050 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
