Structural MIG welder • City of Richmond, Virginia

Great opportunity: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in City of Richmond, Virginia. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. You will set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch. Requirements: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
