Great opportunity: flatlock machine operator (Rhode Island)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Washington County, Rhode Island. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Day to day you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $170 per day, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
