Core maker — Yankton County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Yankton County, South Dakota. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. On a typical shift you will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
