Production welder — Bama

We are recruiting: we are hiring a production welder in Bama, Borno State. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently 4+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
