Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Payette County, Idaho. The job is at a plant hire yard. Day-to-day duties: • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Understanding of safe digging near underground services Full-time, day shift.
