We are recruiting: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. On a typical shift you will carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points. What we are looking for: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Full-time with occasional weekends.
