Lifting rigger • City and Borough of Wakefield, England

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in City and Borough of Wakefield, England. You will work at a busy construction site. Your main tasks: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position You should have: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
