Stainless steel welder wanted in Clay County

Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Clay County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) You will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $5,000 per month, based on your experience.
