Join our team: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Franklin County, Kansas. Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Your main tasks: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
