Stitching operator — City of Bristol

We are recruiting: we are hiring a stitching operator in City of Bristol, England. The job is on an export house sewing floor. Your main tasks: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
