Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in East Renfrewshire, Scotland. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Performance bonus on top of base pay.
