Blocklayer wanted in Kodiak Island Borough

Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska. You will be based on a commercial construction site. What we are looking for: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks On the job you will handle: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
