Gas appliance installer • Brown County, Illinois

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas appliance installer in Brown County, Illinois. The job is in a gas distribution network. You will read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply. You should have: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
