Requirements: • Good knowledge of rockwool, XPS, EPS and PU foam • Confident using a gas torch to bond bituminous membrane • Own basic hand tools such as a utility knife and trowel Your main tasks: • Seal gaps around windows, doors and service penetrations with sealant • Apply liquid waterproofing to bathrooms and terraces before tiling • Carry out flood and water tests on waterproofed areas to check for leaks • Install fire-stopping and fire-rated insulation around penetrations • Wrap HVAC ducts with foil-faced insulation and fasten with banding • Fit acoustic insulation to partition walls and floating floors Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
