You should have: • F-Gas Category 1 certification or equivalent refrigerant handling cert • Own set of refrigerant tools: gauges, vacuum pump, scales • Knowledge of heat loss calculations and system sizing On the job you will handle: • Survey the property and calculate heat loss room by room • Pull a vacuum on the system with a vacuum pump and micron gauge • Fit and wire room thermostats, zone valves and smart controls • Fit condensate drainage from the outdoor unit • Mount the outdoor unit on anti-vibration brackets on a solid base • Size and select the heat pump unit and buffer tank Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
