Steel fixer — Kirklees

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Kirklees, England. The role involves assemble column and beam cages on the bench; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. What we are looking for: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations Six days a week, one day off.
