Solar energy technician wanted in Peterborough

We are recruiting: we are hiring a solar energy technician in Peterborough, England. You will be based on a school or public building roof. Day to day you will carry out continuity and insulation resistance tests on strings; carry panels and equipment up ladders and scaffolding safely; read PV layout drawings and single-line diagrams on site; mount racking rails and mounting brackets on roof trusses or ground-mount frames; earth and bond the array in line with wiring regulations; fit roof anchors, flashings and waterproof penetrations. Requirements: • Health and safety awareness (harness, fall arrest, ladder safety) • Proven experience installing rooftop or ground-mount PV systems • Basic electrical knowledge of DC and AC systems Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
