Join our team: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. Your main tasks: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
