Steel fixing chargehand wanted in Mecklenburg County

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The role involves fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust. Ideal candidate: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
