We are recruiting: we are hiring a tile fixer in Boone County, Illinois. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of waterproofing and substrate preparation • Familiar with porcelain, ceramic, mosaic and natural stone • Work neatly with minimal tile wastage The role involves match the tile pattern and coursing across the walls; mix tile adhesive and cement mortar to the right consistency; check the falls to floor wastes so the water drains away; apply a waterproofing membrane in showers and wet areas; spread adhesive with a notched trowel and back-butter the tiles; make curved cuts and holes with an angle grinder and tile drill bits.
