Occupational health and safety officer • Talbot County, Georgia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Talbot County, Georgia. You will work in a warehouse and logistics yard. On a typical shift you will check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
