Heavy equipment operator — City of Petersburg

We are recruiting: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in City of Petersburg, Virginia. You will work on a busy construction site. Day to day you will backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook. Requirements: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. We offer $25 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
