Counter butcher wanted in City of Edinburgh

Immediate opening: we are hiring a counter butcher in City of Edinburgh, Scotland. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. Day to day you will portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife. You should have: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
