Fire and safety officer — Nelson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Nelson County, Virginia. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. Requirements: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements On a typical shift you will inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
