Tig welder — Bradford

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Bradford, England. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. On a typical shift you will weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
