Great opportunity: we are hiring a gtaw welder in City of Bristol, Virginia. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances The role involves: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
