We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Saint Joseph County, Indiana. Day to day you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
