Immediate opening: we are hiring a MIG welder in Mississippi County, Missouri. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You should have: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Day-to-day duties: • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
