Offshore rigger — Dawes County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Dawes County, Nebraska. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. Day to day you will read lift plans and method statements before starting; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Full-time with occasional weekends.
