Vertical milling machine operator — Oxford County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Oxford County, Maine. What we are looking for: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T On a typical shift you will keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,900 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
