JCB operator • Sitka City and Borough, Alaska

Vacancy available: we are hiring a JCB operator in Sitka City and Borough, Alaska. You will be based on a busy civils and groundworks site. The role involves backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels; clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter. Requirements: • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
