Pipe tig welder wanted in Iberville Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Iberville Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. You will weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
